What are Worship Services Like?

Webster defines “worship” as:

Wor•ship 1. reverence or devotion for a deity; religious homage or veneration 2. extreme devotion or intense love or admiration of any kind.

Intense love and admiration! Extreme devotion! That’s how we describe worship at Union Chapel Ministries. We gather together each week to worship God as a family and to express to Him our love, our thanks, and our devotion. Come be our guest as we worship the Lord together!

Main Sanctuary Service

Our worship services blend the comfort and familiarity of traditional worship with the excitement of a contemporary worship service through both instrumental and vocal music. The Worship Team lead in worship through the singing of choruses and hymns. We also worship by giving, and through prayer and Bible study, which is led by Senior Pastor, Gregg Parris.

While these services are open to anyone of any age, many young adults gravitate to the particular worship style, teaching, and atmosphere offered at Commonway which is led by Associate Pastor, Matt Carder.

Assisted Listening Devices are available during the Worship Service. For assistance, please visit the Sound Booth located inside the Main Santuary doors.

dvd_discs2CD's of the Pastor's sermons are available for purchase on both CD or DVD; CD's -($3.00), DVD's -($5.00)immediately after the Sunday morning worship services in the foyer of the Main Sanctuary.

What do I Need to Bring?

Many members and guests find that it’s easier and more fulfilling to participate in Bible study when they have their own copy of the Bible with them during worship so that they can underline or highlight particular verses for later study. During worship key Bible verses will be displayed on the overhead screens for those who do not have a Bible with them and for those who carry a different translation.

If you prefer to take simple notes, an outline of each Sunday morning’s Bible study is provided in the bulletin with spaces and margins for personal thoughts and references.
